Company: EMEA ICT department (600+ employees) of a leading US-based global supplier of communications networking equipment with about 100,000 employees worldwide and approximately USD 34 billion in revenues from continuing operations (FY 2000).
Different multi-national project teams; with on average 15 full time core members plus 20 ad-hoc & part-time staff

End-to-end responsibility for alignment of ICT capabilities & service levels with strongly changing business environments, starting with an assessment of the as is situation, mapping of ICT capabilities & service levels to business requirements, performing a gap analysis, preparation, execution and monitoring of a plan of action, to driving projects to closure.

Examples:

  • Downsizing & reallocation of ICT cost of a French business unit with 60% without jeopardizing business continuity, by reconfirming and prioritising service levels and renegotiation of a local outsourcing deal.
  • Carving out / disentangle ICT capabilities and re-establish broken service levels during a spin off of a major business unit (30% of total worldwide revenue) without disruption of service levels to business operations.
  • Refocus of European ICT department by implementation of business relation management capabilities and supporting the outsourcing of basic ICT tasks.
