ERP project experience has been built up in a variety of industries
and countries. Without exception only those projects were successful
that started with a solid business requirements phase, including
a clear confirmation / documentation of business model & business
processes, roles & responsibilities and information & reporting
needs.
Examples of V I S MOCS experience:
- Implementation of an ERP system seamlessly interfaced
with a logistics system for over 100,000 order fulfilments per
week.
- Implementation of finance modules of SAP R/3
to support migration from local country based finance capabilities
to an Ireland based European shared services centre. Responsibility
for technical realization, but also for compliance with local
legislation on accounting practices and human resources issues.
Accounting staff needed to be moved, terminated and/or hired;
continuity needed to be guaranteed of local statutory, tax and
management reporting.
- Implementation of logistics, sales order processing
& quality management modules of SAP R/3 for a chemical multinational.
As a first step a standardization exercise took place between
manufacturing sites and their sales offices, to globally align
business processes, quality specification & control methods
for products & services as well as roles & responsibilities,
in order to improve manufacturing flexibility, product interchange-ability
and global sourcing capabilities. As a second step an integrated
SAP R/3 ERP system was implemented for operating companies in
Europe and the USA to further to improve CRM information, to reduce
back office cost and delivery times, and as a result improving
customer satisfaction.
